Ten

At 10 months:

Kutamma crawls around on all fours and follows me around everywhere. Mary had a Little Lamb has a new meaning

She doesn’t want to imitate any of us! In case we are playing with her making sounds, she reciprocates in a very different sound! Does the opposite!

She loves her aunt and wants to be carried by her all the time!

She waves to people and is able to “Shake hand, hi fi, Bye”. She claps her hand vibrantly when asked to clap! 

She loves to watch rhymes from super simple learning! However her grandfather has downloaded the Preethi Sagar series. It’s very annoying for me, though Kutamma gazes at the lady without a blink.

A few times, at night she wakes up suddenly with a smile, then she babbles something sweetly and goes back to sleep. "Must be a good dream"

She loves her daddy. She jumps up and down like a rubber ball the moment he gets back from work - and squeals and giggles with excitement

She is a social animal. She talks to everybody on the road. She smiles, talks, offers her hand to strangers and bats her eyelashes at them. As long as they respond from afar, everything is fine. But the moment they try to carry her, or touch her, she screams like someone has already pinched her!

Things she does that drives me/us crazy

The fact that she wants to put everything, and I mean EVERYTHING into her mouth.

Put her down and she has to make for the nearest forbidden item.

It is next to impossible to keep her in one place when bathing/changing/drying her hair

She is never still. Her hands, legs and head are ALWAYS in motion except when she is asleep

In the supermarket, she picks up things from shelves as we pass them by, and has often knocked down many things.

Nagging other kids – She always wants to pounce on the piece of food/paper/toy which the other kid possess.

Things Kutamma is passionate about:

• Me
• Abhi
• Her grandfather
• Bruno and other pets - You need the strength of three people to control her if she as much as spots a dog. She squeals and roars for all the neighborhood to hear. At least one dog has been known to run away from this crazy child, terrified. 
•  Kids of all ages. She thinks everybody is her friend by default. When shy children do not respond to her, she bends towards them nonetheless and touches them softly on the cheek, bends her head sideways, smiles and gurgle
• Bye – She always wants to be taken out. Her hands are always reaching to you in case u said Bye from the anywhere in the house.

Things that makes her the person she is:

• Her smile
• Her eyes - big, black, guileless
• Her enthusiasm for everything.
• Friendliness - man, animal and object - all are her friends
